Many parts of the world have recently seen heatwaves, matching and evrn breaking previous records set. While there are many people enjoying the high temperatures others are struggling to find ways to keep cool. Here at Monster.travel, we have found the best water parks to visit this year. Go with a group of friends or take the family and cool down while enjoying great days out.

Siam Park, Tenerife

For five consecutive years Siam Park has been awarded the Travellers’ Choice Award for the Best Water Park in the World and it’s easy to see why.

Siam Park is popular with young and old alike as there are rides to suit everyone. You will find the Lazy River, The Lost City, an area specially designed for children who aren’t quite big enough for some of the main rides and a dedicated baby zone for parents wanting to get their babies use to the water. You will also find numerous rides that use inflatable rafts for either two or four people depending on the individual requirements and for any adrenaline junkies out there The Tower Of Power is a must. The Tower of Power is a near vertical 28 metre drop ending after you slide through the saltwater shark tank.

This Thai themed water park also offers a beach and wave palace as well as different restaurants and shops. A day at Siam Park is perfect for all the family.

Beach Park, Brazil

Brazil’s Beach Park is situated in the Fortaleza Beach Park complex. It was created in 1985 and is South America’s largest and best equipped water park. 700,00 people visit this water park each year to enjoy the many water slides, waterfalls and the artificial river.

You will find hotels, shops, a sailing raft museum, a beach and many restaurants within the complex, as well as the world's tallest, fastest water slide. Insano is in the Guinness Book of Records as the highest water slide at 41 metres tall. This ride is over and done with in just 5 seconds as you slide down it at a speed of 105 km/h.

The Water Park, Greece

This Greek water park is one of the largest water parks in Europe. The Water Park has rides for the whole family to enjoy and also has snack bars and a souvenir shop for any trinkets you wish to purchase as a reminder of your great day.

The Water Park has 20 attractions including the fast paced Kamikaze, Free Fall and the Space Bowl. These rides are perfect for people wanting speed and exhilaration. For something more sedate take a trip on the 230m long Lazy River and for the younger members of the family there is a children’s area with a Pirate Ship, Funny Bridge and Tarzan Pool.

Blizzard Beach, Orlando

No water park list would be complete without a bit of Disney and Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the perfect addition. This fun water park has a wacky concept as it is based on the idea that it was once a ski resort that melted into this unusual water park.

Here you will find snow-capped mountains and white sand beaches with warm arctic-like waters. One of the highlights of Blizzard Beach is Mount Gushmore, one of the world’s tallest and fastest slides. There are various rides for the whole family and even a snow castle fountain with water slides for children under 48 inches tall.
