Durham City is an ideal choice for a fun city break. This charming city was recently voted the ‘best in the UK’ by the highly respected Conde Nast magazine, and is surely the beating heart of a county that boasts many other extraordinary treasures.

This wonderful medieval city is dominated by the mighty Durham Cathedral (the number one Landmark in the entire UK) and its next door neighbour Durham Castle, which together are listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site.
