Remember the hit song, "I'm a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie World?" well, if that's you, then there is the perfect holiday just waiting to have you exclaiming "it's fantastic!" Like a Katie Price Dream Come True, one cruise line is now offering an entirely Barbie themed holiday to the ultimate glamour girls destination, the Caribbean. Featuring such treats as the Barbie Teacups and Tiaras party, this is a pink themed vacation that you would not be viewing through rose coloured spectacles. Because everything really and truly is pink.

Little girls feature prominently along the decks, clutching their adored dolls, as this mighty ship chugs along. Needless to say the Barbies that have been brought along for this exotic trip are dressed accordingly. Barbie, of course, has her own cruise wear collection, and you can bet your bottom dollar she'll not be soon on board in anything less. Royal Caribbean are the ones who have cottoned onto the lucrative market here in the famed Mattel doll's followers, and are calling this unique experience, the Barbie Premium, all aboard the good ship Allure of the Seas. The keenest customers are girls in the age range for 5 to 11 but it goes without saying that they have to bring their mummies and daddies along for the ride.

Setting sail from Fort Lauderdale in Florida, the ship has been given a mighty pink makeover for this excursion. Rooms are nothing if not feminine and fluffy. A sign on the door reads "Barbie girls on board." Just in case you don't have your own, there is a doll placed on the pillow, which is a Barbie preferred satin, with a lovely cerise blanket to complement it. Product placement is absolutely everywhere, and there's plenty of it to go around. The iconic plastic lady features on every consumer good that can be manufactured.

The Allure boasts being the biggest of all the cruise ships ploughing the seas. She has 17 decks altogether including a whole street, the Royal Parade, decked out with real shops. There is even a Central park where you can go to get yourself a juice or a salad.

Activities on the Barbie cruise do include stop offs at Jamaica and Mexico, but on the whole, the focus is on pink girly stuff whether it is cupcake workshops, Barbie fashion design classes, or a full on catwalk show.

If you are a Barbie girl, or you know someone who is, then this is undoubtedly, the most exciting holiday idea you will ever come across. If, on the other hand, you are allergic to the colour pink, then the advice is to steer well away.
